Paiman Ghafoori, MD
MD
Dr. Ghafoori has seen firsthand how frightening a cancer diagnosis can be for patients, along with their need for compassion and personal attention. He is deeply affected by the courage and resilience his patients demonstrate daily, which continually drives him to seek the best training and experience possible.
Dr. Ghafoori’s interest in oncology began while earning a molecular biology degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, graduating summa cum laude. He attended Harvard Medical School and completed residency training at Duke University Medical Center, where he served as chief resident and later on faculty as an assistant professor. He has a particular interest in the use of brain and body stereotactic radiosurgery to treat patients with both malignant and benign conditions.
