Disease-Fighting Fruit Juice
Fruit juice may prevent cancer, heart disease, and cognitive decline

While it is known that eating fruits and vegetables is good for us, it is unclear if drinking their juices has the same health benefits.
Researchers have found a link between drinking juice and a lower risk of certain chronic diseases.
Through looking at past studies, researchers concluded that drinking 100 percent fruit juice may reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease, and cognitive decline - the gradual loss of the ability to process thoughts.
According to Dr. Hyson, it seems as though 100 percent fruit juices have the same natural components that improve health and prevent disease as the whole fruits themselves.
Drinking 100 percent fruit juice may protect you from cancer, heart disease, and other chronic diseases.
Additionally, Dianne Hyson, Ph.D., M.S., R.D., reviewed 60 previously published articles and clinical trials. She found that a variety of fruit juices provided different health benefits.
For example, cranberry juice was associated with a lower risk of urinary tract infections, while grape and apple juice were related to less cognitive decline.
Orange and grapefruit juices reduced the risk of respiratory and digestive cancers, while pomegranate juice appeared to lower the risk of prostate cancer.
